New Music From Velojet

Velojet deliver 'Pass It Back.'

You wouldn't know from the looks of them and mostly from the sound of them, but four-piece Velojet is from Austria. The same folks who brought us Arnold and the Von Trapp family singers have somehow managed to produce a band that sounds like they easily could have come from Des Moines, IA. Little was to be found when researching Velojet, well mostly because I don't speak Austrian I guess.

Their third and latest album, Heavy Gold And The Return Of The Stereo Chorus, is a wordy title yes; but let us not be deterred by suck rock n' roll pomposity. Single, "Pass It Back,” has a joyous sound much like that long lost beloved band known as Beulah. The strings and horns also recall Wings' pseudo-disco era which can't be all that bad, right?

Heavy Gold And The Return Of The Stereo Chorus is available via Wohnzimmer Records
