Prince Rama Prepare For Fall Tour With Deakin
Prince Rama to tour with Animal Collective's Deakin
The members of Prince Rama aren’t what you call conventional musicians. Raised on a Hare Krishna commune, schooled in Boston, and now playing in Brooklyn this trio isn’t what you would call the norm of the music industry. However their odd style that sounds like a 60s horror film score filled with heavy percussion quickly captured the attention of Avey Tare and Deakin of Animal Collective, who produced their new album Shadow Temple...

Wilco (The Concert Review)
South Bend didn’t know what hit ‘em
Wilco supported by Yo La Tengo
July 30, 2010
6pm central time
Wilco is a Chicago staple and a staple among sensible indie music aficionados or for anyone who likes quality, heartfelt music. Archie Powell And The Exports Massacre Pinatas In New Music Video
Archie Powell & the Exports smash things in video for 'Enough About Me'
Let me introduce you to my new favorite Chicago band Archie Powell & the Exports. Singer Archie Powell was sick of bands who put the emphasis on glitz and glam instead of words and music and started Archie Powell & the Exports to combat this droll trend. Their last album Loose Change EP captured the attention of many critics, applauding the band for their infectious songs. A little bit of Elvis Costello with a little bit of Weezer sans the emo drama, these guys really make an impact on your ears. The band recently released their music video for "Enough About Me" off of their upcoming LP Skip Work. Watch the booze-infused madness below.
