We've Got You Covered: The Morning Pages, Lady Gaga, and 'Telephone'
The Morning Pages gives Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' an alt-country twist
When Lady Gaga and Beyonce teamed up to do the single "Telephone" for Fame Monster, it seems like every straight woman, gay man, and closet pop fan went wild. Two of America's pop divas were singing together on one song. It was like crack on the radio. The Morning Pages took a stab at "Telephone" and might I say, create something that everyone can enjoy...

The Books Sign To Temporary Residence, Announce New Album
The Books sign to a new label, announce new album for July
It's been over five years since the Books released new material but luckily the duo is planning on breaking their streak and releasing a new album this July on their new home Temporary Residence Limited. The band announced their move to the label yesterday along with news of their new album. The band has spent the last five years heavily touring and working and are ready to begin their follow-up to their critically acclaimed release Lost and Safe. The Books pratically escape all genres and carve out their own space in the music world. The band reguarly combines music and video together during their live performances, creating something like a live music video. It's instrumental but strongly conveys emotion. It's minimalistic with endless depth. It features guitar, bass, cello and vocals over sharply edited video. It's hard to pinpoint what and who the Books are. If you've never heard or seen the Books, check out their video for "Take Time" below from their DVD Play All.

Setting Sun Offers New Single, Video from Fantasurreal
Setting Sun releases his single 'Driving' from new album
Indie folk artist Setting Sun is gearing up to release his fourth full-length album Fantasurreal this summer and giving his fans a sneak peek with his single "Driving." Known for his soft lyrics coupled with texturized instrumentation, Setting Sun a.k.a. Gary Levitt took a slightly differnent direction for his work on Fantasurreal. Though Setting Sun's past work does have certain electronic elements to it "Driving" breaches new territory with a daring jump into something new. The video for "Driving" breathes life into poppy song Levitt has created with a cast of wacky animated characters. Freelance animator and filmmaker Charles Pieper creates a surreal adventure through the streets of the city but doesn't lose sight of Setting Sun's musical intentions.
Fantasurreal is set to be released June 1st on Young Love Records. Setting Sun is also offering his latest single for free online. You can download "Driving" here.
