Nice To Meet You: Heart-Sick Groans
Moaning and groaning their way to excellent pop music.
If you haven’t heard the news, let me be the first to inform you – Swedes are making good music these days, like really really good music. In the past few years they’re put out some awesome pop music (I’m from Barcelona, Peter Bjorn and John), groundbreaking hardcore from Refused, and top of the line folk from Tallest Man on Earth. So what’s next? Well it could be these guys.
Heart-Sick Groans are a there-piece indie pop band from Sweden. And while it may be chilly up there, the group’s latest EP, Gentlemen, If You Ain’t Right, Get Right!, could be a perfect soundtrack to all your post-winter adventures. Heart-Sick Groans are anything but what their name suggests, the cheery, charming tracks, each as fun and bubbly as the next, are the epitome of feel-good music.
As far as I can describe, the band sounds like a perfect blend of happy electronic pop and Bombadil-esque folk-pop. Don’t believe me? Get a free download of their new EP here or take a listen below.
