New Music From Ray Dar Vees

Ray Dar Vees gives us ‘Heart Attack.’

Ray Dar Vees has only been around since mid summer of last year, but the three-piece has garnered quite a bit of attention in London with their haunting yet catchy hooks. Songwriting as their strong suit makes sense, considering they didn’t own an amp or a drum kit between them when they first started.   

 

Citing references Echo and the Bunnymen, T-Rex and Suede – the band is dark yet on point. The Arcade Fire producer Craig Silvey thought so as well – as he decided to produce them just after one demo. Have a listen to “Heart Attack” below.

Made up of two 20 something year olds from New Zealand, Kids of 88 recently signed to Sony Music on a worldwide deal – and remixed Ke$ha and Cobra Starship.
