Toots & the Maytals Return With New Album, Tour Dates
Toots & the Maytals announce new album with limited 4/20 packaging
Toots & the Maytals are back to their old ways with their new album Flip & Twist, which made it's official release today digitally. And the timing couldn't be better. The band is offering several different packages for the album on their website, but Toots has announced a limited edition version of Flip & Twist in honor of the stoner holiday 4/20. I cannot make this up, therefore I must directly quote the press release to increase my validity. "In honor of today’s national holiday, Toots is releasing a special, 4/20-themed limited edition package, which includes a joint-shaped USB drive loaded with Flip & Twist, a Toots Stash Box, the physical CD of the album, and a variety of other gifts." A stash box? 4/20 is a national holiday? This is a classy bunch of dudes here. The band is also offering a free download of their single "Perfect Lover" on their official site as a preview of what you're missing out on if you don't order joint-shaped albums from them.
Toots & the Maytals will also be embarking on a full-scale tour starting in late April. Tour dates are below. Flip & Twist is out now digitally and comes out May 18 on CD and vinyl.
