New Music From Nedry

Nedry delivers 'A42.'

Nedry has only been together for a little over a year – but the UK trio has already garnered enough attention to last quite a while from the ever so vaunted British press. They are about to head out on a tour of England – but should be (hopefully) coming to the United States soon and bring along their uncanny knack for electronica (mostly) instrumental rock and eerie vocals. Listen to “A42” below.

Manchester Orchestra, Kevin Devine Release New EP Together

Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine cover each other on new release

Manchester Orchestra and former member of the band now turned solo artist Kevin Devine decided to collaborate again. However this collaboration is unlike any other the two have done before. Both parties have released a two-song bundle entitled I Could Be the Only One, which has each aritst covering the other's material. Manchester Orchestra covered Devine's song “I Could Be With Anyone” off his 2009 release Brother's Blood and in turn Devine covered Manchester Orchestra's “The Only One” off of their latest release Mean Everything to Nothing. Both parties do a damn fine job of keeping faithful to the musician's original work while adding a little something of their own to it. The two-song bundle is streaming on Manchester Orchestra's official site and is available for purchase via iTunes.

New Music From Hot Chip

Hot Chip delivers 'One Life Stand.' New album out February 9.

Hot Chip seems to be a group of nerds who have an uncanny ability to make some pretty, well, sexy music. You’ll catch yourself dancing – and then realize that the lyrics are pretty deep. Hot Chip’s latest tune “One Life Stand” has front man Alexis beckoning “I only want to be your one life stand.” Pretty deep lyrics for a group who are frequently played in clubs and last album had a song about wrestling moves.

One Life Stand will be out February 9. Have a listen to the title track below
