New Music From Sambassadeur

Sambassadeu delivers 'Days.'

Nothing better to cure the winter doldrums than with the blindingly sunny pop sounds of a young Scandinavian band. Formed in 2003 in Gothenburg, Sambassadeur's third album, European, is nothing short of taking a tablet of bubble gum flavored Ecstasy. Led by blonde bombshell Anna Persson, (not to be confused with other Swedish blonde bombshell Nina Persson of The Cardigans) Sambassadeur employ the laid back sound done so well by early Brit-pop darlings The Sundays.

Their latest single, "Days," is a big bundle of acoustics, lush strings and Nico styled vocals. The biggest kick comes at the half-way mark with a charming orchestral breakdown that's as awe inspiring as that United Airlines commercial from the mid-nineties. Pat yourself on the back if you have any idea what I'm referring to.
