Music junkie and multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Krueger has written music as Inlets since 2006, combining his taste for baroque pop with his Midwestern roots to create percussively warm suites.  His new album Inter Arbiter dropped in April and continues from where Inlets's debut album The Vestibule EP left off...

Thieves Like Us look to build upon their resume of somewhat sentimental electro-pop with the release of their second album Again and Again. Recorded in 2009 in a basement in Paris, Again and Again focuses on broken hearts, looking for a soul mate and alcoholism – you know, the finer things in life.

In celebration/preparation for the new album, Thieves Like Us have released a free remix EP that can be downloaded here. Again and Again will be available via hardcopy July 6  (already purchasable on Itunes.. Have a listen to “Forget Me Not” below.

The Sword Return With 'Warp Riders'

The Sword set to release third studio album in late August

Good metal is hard to come by.  We saw a slew of terrible bands dressed up as demented creatures in the 90s and for a long time it seemed like metal had turned into a joke.  Of course Gwar is omitted from this statement.  However in recent years we've seen a revival of metal.  Bands like High on Fire, Isis, Pelican and Mastadon have brought back the genre and given it a good name again.  Texas natives The Sword have also restored metal's name with their epic heaviness.  Now the band is back with a new album and hoping to push good metal to the masses.  Warp Riders is the band's third studio album and offers a different side of the band's overall talent.  This marks the Sword's first concept album and expands the band's sound by exploring hard rock.  But don't worry, Warp Riders is still as heavy as the band's last two albums.  The album follows the story of a sci-fi space opera, focusing on death and rebirth in the outer limits.  It doesn't get more epic that that.  Warp Riders comes out August 24 on Kemado Records.  Put in on your "to buy" list now.

Fang Island Annouce Tour With The Flaming Lips

Fang Island hits the road with The Flaming Lips, among other tour dates.

Fang Island began as an art school project at the Rhode Island School Of Design (which is actually the starting place for tons of bands, including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Talking Heads) and has blossomed into a group that, well, is about to hit the road with The Flaming Lips in July. But Fang Island has big plans before their Flaming Lips tour, as they have quite a few days starting as early as tomorrow...
