Snoop Dogg Steps Up His Promotional Game
We can’t think of a more likeable rapper, can you?
Snoops Dogg has been making his rounds! Seems like every talk show in existence has had its dose of the Doggfather as of late. From ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” to chatting with Barbara Walters on “The View.” Not only has he been promoting his new album, but also his new position as creative director of Priority Records (the label that launched Malice N Wonderland), a TomTom voiceskin and his youth football league. If you haven’t been paying attention good old Uncle Snoopy this past week, you’re in luck because there are some things that shouldn’t be missed, like Snoop pushing his P.O.T. (Protect Our Team) brownies with George Lopez.
Starting with the standard tonight shows, Conan’s crew found a commercial that Snoop did in Germany. Snoop admitted to not knowing a thing he said, but followed up that night by reading an excerpt from How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Jimmy Fallon show. Snoop even gave presents to the ladies of The View and Barbara asked some pressing question about Tiger Woods. Have any other rappers appeared on “The View?” Aside from Kanye West’s apology to Taylor Swift, we can’t think of any. Snoop also hit up The Colbert Report, spoke with Esquire on never retiring and Wendy Williams show. The Doggfather even has another part in the soap opera “One Life to Live,” which we reckon will be the similar to his first.
To our knowledge there is no other rapper as likeable by the media as Snoop Dogg. When’s the last time a rap album was promoted on “The View?” Maybe it’s because of his public split and return to his wife, his youth football league, or the fact that Snoop loves the stickiest of the ickiest. Either way, the guy has released ten albums since 1993, and that is a feat in itself. If you can think of a more likeable rapper, let us know but until then, kick it with a classic, Snoop Doggs “Gin and Juice.”
