Nice to Meet You: Sam Quinn and Japan Ten
Big beards, sad songs and country twang from Sam Quinn
Formerly one of the frontmen of Tennessee country folk band, the Everybodyfields, Sam Quinn’s latest project, Sam Quinn and Japan Ten, will have your feet tapping and heart wrenching with their debut album, the fake that sunk a thousand ships. Where the Everybodyfields was more of a collaboration between Sam Quinn and Jill Andrews, bringing out soulful harmonies, hybrid Americana tunes, and superb songwriting, after their split, Sam Quinn has been able to stretch his wings and do as he pleases.
Quinn’s new project includes fellow former everybodyfielder, Josh Oliver on guitar and keyboard. The Japan Ten also includes Megan Gregory and Brandon Story. While the music hasn’t changed a great deal from the days of the Everybodyfields; full of lonliness, heart pain, and Americana bliss. Quinn’s unique and natural vocals have a way of lending themselves to his unique blend of classic Americana and indie folk.
Be sure to check out Quinn’s latest album which cam out May 11th on Ramseur record and take a listen below.
