The Lonely Forest Release New Single, Announce Tour Dates
The Lonely Forest release 'Live There' from new EP
If you haven't heard of the Lonely Forest by now, you definitely will by the end of the year. The Lonely Forest was taken the Pacific coast by storm before Chris Walla of Death Cab found them. Impressed by their sound Walla quickly signed them as the first act on his new label Trans. The band escaped to the studio to write and record, resulting in the release of their new self-titled EP, due out September 14. The Lonely Forest EP is a preface to the band's first full-length on Trans Arrows, which is expected to be released in early 2011. Like many bands that come out of the Pacific northwest, the Lonely Forest has quiet yet powerful pop songs with some major influence from prog-rock music. Take a listen to their new single "Live There" off of their new EP.
The Lonley Forest is also embarking on a major tour with Margot & the Nuclear So and So's and Somebody Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. If you're worried you might miss them don't worry. The band will be on tour from mid September to the end of November.
