New Music From Klum

Klum deliver 'Bashing For The Kids.'

A new decade is on the verge of rearing its ugly head and the latter half of this decade will surely go down in history as the time when the entire population stopped listening and began collecting.  Which is okay because we're all still hunters and gatherers; we just don't use bows and arrows on the turbo dogs at 7-Eleven.

Technology has turned us into musical pack rats.  Just look through your hard drives.  Our libraries are filled with bands we keep convincing ourselves that we will one day "rediscover." Now that the "Oughts" have exhausted themselves I think it's time we make like high school cheerleaders and purge! And as 2010, begins you may binge.  I suggest starting with a band from Monrovia, California known as Klum.

Their second album, We Carelessly Turned Amazingly Into Nothing, is just simply waiting to be kidnapped by a youth gang filled with Modest Mouse and Les Savy Fav enthusiasts.  "Bashing For The Kids" is charming, loud and snotty; and utilizes the not often used term, “your ass is grass," to great appeal - definitely a band to watch in 2010.
