'Chamber Music" Provides Some Needed Wu-Tang
Let’s all be honest – it’s absolutely impossible to hate Wu-Tang Clan.
Hope you’ve been holding on to your samurai sword because it’s time for some new Wu-Tang. Chamber Music provides some chill clippings to what Wu-Tang has been up to recently, even though we can’t consider this a full Wu-Tang release (RIP Ol’ Dirty Bastard).
The new joint clocks in at just over thirty minutes - so maybe not long enough to buy, unless you really, really like kung-fu or just you dig the album artwork as much as I do. If only it came with this poster. There are some collaborations on the album, with a handful of those on trained in the art of Wu, and fit in rather nicely.
Don’t let the 17 tracks fool you; there are only five that reach three minutes long; kind of a bummer for those who were expecting a full Wu-Tang album. But there are some ill tracks within “Radiant Jewels,” “Evil Deads” and “Kill Too Hard.” Think of this as some hyping up before Raekwon and Method Man’s new albums coming later this year.
I won’t encourage bootlegging, but perhaps make your little brother buy this for you… Check out the track “Sound the Horns,” take in some Shaolin style and then decide whether it’s worth your money or not.
