New Music From Soft Cat

Soft Cat takes to the darker side of folk.

It didn’t take long for Neil Sanzgiri to recruit city musicians/friends for his project Soft Cat. It took an even shorter amount of time for Soft Cat to develop a sound that seemed like Soft Cat had been playing together for years – not months.

Soft Cat is a darker side of folk that sounds a bit mysterious. Behind the mystery are lush layers that feature a pretty large amount of instruments for the folk genre. It’s gloomy yet beautiful.
