CDQ Mark Ronson And Ghostface Killah Collab Leaks Its Way Online

Who thought a Wu-Tang member would match up so well with this Englishman?

Mark Daniel Ronson was born on September 4, 1975 and he produces, plays many an instrument, sings and founded Allido records (hint: Ronson signed Wale). Dennis Coles, aka Ghostface Killah, found his way to this earth May 9 and has created eight solo albums to date while being directly involved with dozens of other full-length albums for Wu-Tang, in-collaboration or simply featured. Together, Ronson and Killah join forces for “Lost It (in the End),” the second track from Mark Ronson and the Intl’s album Record Collection. The song is also the third song leaked from the album. Let’s just say, we look forward to hearing future pieces that these two work together on.

The piece opens with a western-frontier exploring tune with electric horns scaling up and down. Of course, this song’s subject matter deals with the fairer sex, love lost and perhaps insanity, too? Ghostface supplies the verses and Mr. Ronson brings a light hook that keeps this song speeding right through its two-and-a-half minute length. Too bad these two don’t get together more often, the last we seen them making music together was 2003’s ‘Ooh Wee’ with Nate Dogg off Ronson’s Here Come the Fuzz. I guess that’s ok, as long as Ronson continues his work of combining electronica with hip-hop and indie-style music.

If Mark Ronson and the Intl haven’t been on your radar at all this summer, let us also point you in the direction of Record Collection’s first publicly release single ‘Bang, Bang, Bang’ featuring none other than Q-Tip and German pop musician MNDR. The track released July 13 on iTunes and was quickly followed by a video. The video is highly inspired by Japanese and French, what with subtitles in both languages appearing on-screen. Also featured are plenty of flashing lights, bright colors, light-speed, flying instruments, Gundam references, classy suits and wire frame glasses. Have a watch if you haven’t yet. Ronson’s album release date is set for September 27 of this year. Listen to Mark Ronson and Ghostface go toe to toe below in ‘Lost it (in the End).
