The Books Start US Tour To Support New Album
The Books to start US tour to support 'The Way Out'
The Books have announce a full US tour to support the release of their new album The Way Out. Since the release of their last full-length Lost and Safe members Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong have toured all over the world, spreading their self-proclaimed genre of “collage music” along the way. “Beautiful People,” the first single off of The Way Out, promises a continuation of the Books's unique music style. The song starts off with surprisingly beautiful backwards talk and launches into a strange but progressively interesting bout of loops, image-inspiring lyrics, and Zammuto and de Jong's guitar and cello combo. The band's US tour includes a free concert at Chicago's Millennium Park as well as dates at Wilco's Solid Sound Festival and All Tomorrow's Parties. The Way Out will be release July 20 on Temporary Residence Ltd. You can pre-order the album now through the label's website.
