Coltrane Motion To Release New Album 'Hello Ambition' Next Week

Chicago duo Coltrane Motion release new album, start summer tour

It seems like no one makes bizarre electronic pop music in Chicago like Coltrane Motion does.  Since their first full-length album Songs About Music the band has used their love for fuzzed-out tones, wailing distorition, and 70s-inspired songwriting to fuel their music.  It's been a while since we saw new music from the band but fans are in luck.  Coltrane Motion has ten shiney new songs to offer from their new album Hello Ambition!.  This album is typical of the dream pop bands that have been coming out of Chicago's budding electronic scene.  Coltrane Motion has somehow managed to distill their frenetic live energy into a full album that refuses to quit moving.  "I Forgot There Was A War On" is the type of song that makes you want to hop in your car and drive to a crazy house party where someone is bound to jump off the roof into a pool.  Which is precisely the way I'd like to spend my summer.  Hello Ambition! comes out June 1 on datawaslost.  If you just can't wait that long you can stream the album on Coltrane Motion's Bandcamp page.  Make sure to catch Coltrane Motion in a city near you.
