Business Casual Superstar
Blair Waldorf is pretty bomshell. I have no clue if I used that term correctly.
Have I done Gossip Girl yet? I can't remember. Anyway, I don't technically watch Gossip Girl, but I've seen a couple episodes from season 1, and I know the characters, and I have friends that like to fill me in no matter how many times I say I don't care.
So that's why today's muse is none other than Blair Waldorf. I think this picture is from the season finale, where Chuck was shot in Prague after revoking Little J's V-card and other nonsense abounded. I don't know. Anyway, Blair:
She's wearing a bright red Top Shop high-waisted skirt with a cream and navy sailor top, and a red watch or bracelet or something. I altered the outfit a little and here's what I came up with on our budget:
High Waisted Skirt in Red .......... $19.99 Floral Button Front Top in Yellow Combo .......... $20 Gabriella Rocha in Grey Suede .......... $49.95 Pink Yellow Flower Necklace .......... $8.95
We've got the red skirt (in a darker red, because all the really red skirts were miniskirts and you don't want to wear those to the office), a yellow floral printed top, and a yellow and pink necklace that I threw in just for fun. We can't see what shoes Blair is wearing in the picture, but she's probably wearing bright red ones. Just a guess. I don't know, I didn't actually watch the episode otherwise I would have remembered.
I wanted to stay away from that for a work-appropriate look and chose these grey suede pumps instead to create a polished, simple look inspired by Blair Waldorf.
And there we have it! Come back next week - knowing me, I'm probably creating an outfit inspired by Emma Pillsbury yet again. I can't help it! I love how unique and girly her wardrobe is.
