Places and Numbers Debuts With New Single
Bobby Darling aka Places and Numbers releases his first single
Bobby Darling has lead a busy life since Gatsbys American Dream disbanded in 2006. He put down his guitar, got a job at an airline and traveled the world, still writing music in hotel rooms on off hours. Nearing the completion of what would be the first demo for his new project Places and Numbers, Darling was blindsided with news of his parents' death. Yet again, music was something to turn to. Darling overcame his grief and with the urging of longtime friend and former producer Casey Bates he started sending his new material to labels. Places and Numbers's first EP Waking the Dead is a very different beast than Darling's work in Gatsbys. It's dark and emotional but at the same time hopeful and inspring. Darling recorded his new EP while backpacking in Italy with his brother, Bates and a videographer who recorded their experiences. Darling released a video called "How to Record an Record While Backpacking Through Italy" to chronicle his experiences with his friends and the start of Places and Numbers. Though it took four years and experienced several ups and downs, Places and Numbers is ready to be heard. Waking the Dead is available now on Equal Vision Records. Places and Numbers is offering the new EP as a pay what you want deal through Bandcamp.
