New Video From (parts of) Wu-Tang Clan
Ghostface Killah, Method Man and Raekwon release new video.
Starting with Dipset’s Jim Jones The Ghost of Rich Porter, Harlem’s own gives the world 22 tracks littered with featured artists. This is a good thing, because if you’re familiar with Jim Jones, you’re probably not downloading to hear him rap. However, Jones puts together a full mixtape with good showings from Gucci Mane, Juelz Santana, Shawty Lo and plenty of New York Rappers. Jones raps about Harlem, cocaine, money and cars (but mostly cocaine). Unless you are big into Harlem or Jim Jones, we can only recommend “Haunted” with Gucci Mane, “Penicillin” featuring Shawty Lo and “Harlem’s Own” - the hilarious take on Drake’s hugely popular “Forever.” Also, where’s Cam’ron? Guess the two founders of The Diplomats are still on poor terms. You can download the tape here if you’re interested.
The same day as Jim Jones, Wu-Tang members Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon launch a visual for “Our Dreams,” a single off of their collaborative album Wu-Massacre that releases Tuesday, March 30th. The video opens with the investigation of three murders in similar fashion to some of the careful work of Kevin Spacey’s character in the 1995 thriller Se7en. The video was created more so as a promotional video with a banner reading “Album in stores March 30” but it still entertains. The song features an entertaining sample from Micheal Jackson’s “We’re Almost There” from his 1975 album Forever, and the three Wu-Master’s cleverly cutting up the track as they are thrown into the back of squad cars. It should also be mentioned that the song was produced by RZA, making it four Wu members on the track. The album will release with three collectors edition covers, so get them while there hot because they won’t last long. We prefer the Ghostface one.
You can watch the Wu-Massacre ‘Our Dreams’ and listen to ‘Harlem Forever’ from Jim Jone’s The Ghost of Rich Porter below.
