Major Lazer To Start Tour In Spring
Diplo, Switch to take project Major Lazer on tour
Call my tastes silly and unconventional, but I am a big fan of Major Lazer. When your band has two of music's prominent DJs and producers making music together, it's going to be strange and exciting. This collaborative project between British DJs Switch and Diplo personified by a zombie-fighting Jamacian had me with their first single "Hold the Line," which featured Mr. Lexx and Santigold. Heavily influenced by Jamican dance hall music and featuring a Jamacian artists on every track of their debut Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do, Major Lazer was my secret guilty pleasure of 2009. Diplo and Switch aer coming stateside for a US tour with Major Lazer starting in late March at the Ultra Music Festival and closing with Cochella in April. Guest stars at shows are not confirmed as of yet, but there's sure to be some familiar faces popping up in your town come spring time.
