The Sword Return To The Studio To Record New Album
The Sword join with producer Matt Bayles to record new album
It's been two years since Austin metal band the Sword released new material but they have a good excuse. After two albums that launched them to the top, the band has been busy touring with none other than Metallica on their worldwide tour until May of last year. Now the Sword are ready to kick thing back into gear and are entering the studio with producer Matt Bayles, responsible for producing Mastadon, Isis, and Minus the Bear, to start recording their third album. The band started to write their upcoming album in August and has described it as a "concept album centered around an original science fiction narrative." Sign me up.
The Sword's new album will be released later this year on Kemado Records. The band will also be performing at SXSW this year at Austin's own Stub's with metal legends Motorhead on March 16th.
