Snoop Dogg And Jay-Z Launch Official ‘I Wanna Rock’ Remix

30 years experience collide in this ‘G-Mix.’

East Coast meets West in the recent release of the official remix of Snoops single “I Wanna Rock” off his latest album Malice N Wonderland. Jay-Z offers his services and opens up the first verse with his lyrical expertise. Despite a few annoying lyrical ticks, Jay-Z’s verse shakes out all competitors within the rap game. He even goes a bit too far in referring to Biggie Smalls, a bit shallow of the East-coaster if you ask me. The background chorus is cleverly altered to “Hova” instead of the original “Snoop Dogg” to set up what Jay brings to the table. Clearly, this remix, or what is referred to as “The Kings’ G-Mix” self-establishes the two rappers as kings of their respective coasts.  Snoop follows Jay with a kingly verse of his own before it gets into an original verse from the track to round it out to three even verses.

Speaking of kingly, nothing bleeds kingly like have your own million-dollar diamond portrait. Gemstone Creative has done just that for Jay-Z for use as a marketing tool. To be honest, it comes off looking like a stupid sequin mosaic, but we’ll let you be the judge. See a large picture of this gaudy artwork here. There’s even examples of Barak Obama and the Queen of England. Side note aside, back to the music. The “I Wanna Rock” The Kings’ G-mix definitely warrants to fans of the East Coast and West Coast alike.
