Yes Giantess Hits The Road
Berklee cats, Yes Giantess, remix around, start fall tour
Most college students spend the summer
slacking off, getting intoxicated, and generally doing nothing productive until
those last weeks before returning to school. Not Yes Giantess' Chase
Nicholl. He took ten classes this summer to graduate from Boston's
Berklee College of Music before his band hit the road for their big fall tour
supporting Little Boots, MSTRKRFT, and Calvin Harris. Never expecting to
last more than a summer break, Yes Giantess got to work remixing the work of
their friends bands and suddenly found popularity online because of their party
tunes. The band has recently gain noterierty for remixing Asher Roth,
Passion Pit, and other XL Recording
artists. The Boston quartet found themselves touring in between
classes and hearing their music streaming all across the blogosphere, all in
one year. Turns out working hard in the summer does have it's
pay-offs. Yes Giantess has just finished recording with some high profile
producers such as Hannah
Robinson (Ladyhawke) and Charlie
Hugall (Florence and the Machine), and are to enter the studio again
following their fall tour.
Yes Giantess' fall tour is followed by an NME Radar Tour in Europe, with a
stateside return for CMJ in late October. Check out their single, "You Were Young," below.
