Disappearing Funds
If "Up" is half as good as "Wall-E," I'm going to wee in my pants. That's more of a promise than a joke.
Movies: Up
Around this same time last year, everyone was bubbling with excitement over the latest Disney/Pixar film, WALL·E. This year it’s basically the same thing, but with a new film in place of the lovable trash compactor. Up is about an old man who decides at age 78 that it’s finally time to fulfill his lifelong dream of seeing South America. How does he go about it? Well of course the only way a rational human being in a Pixar movie would…by tying thousands of balloons to his house so it will fly. There is not a single thing wrong with that plan. Shortly after liftoff, he finds an unwilling stowaway in an eight year old wilderness explorer (Boy Scout). Nice work Pixar. You have a crazy old man abducting a little boy. NAMBLA must love you for this…and not the North American Marlon Brando Look Alikes. All joking aside, Up looks like it might be as completely awesome as WALL·E was. Up is directed by Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc.) and stars Ed Asner (Elf, Gigantic) and Christopher Plummer (Alexander, Inside Man).
