The Black Keys, Ladytron and South deliver new music.
The Black Keys – Strange Times - There are a lot of trivial things I could write about the Black Keys and their new single - like how the duo is constantly compared to the White Stripes, or the fact that Danger Mouse produced their new album. But the only thing that matters is the fact that this song has a killer riff. And if you even remotely enjoy anything that could be conceived as "bluesy," you should definitely check it out.

Ladytron – Black Cat - Liverpool-based Ladytron has always had a particularly synthetic-sounding brand of electronic pop, and with "Black Cat," the group takes it into new directions. With a booming, menacing synth bass line, steady drum machine beats, vocals sung in Bulgarian and a synth lead that wouldn't be out of place on a Depeche Mode song, Ladytron creates a dark, densely layered tune far beyond the "electroclash" sound of their 2002 hit, "Seventeen." In the end, "Black Cat" marks the logical evolution in the group's sound, while still retaining what was enjoyable about them to begin with.

South – Wasted - This tragically-underrated UK band is back with a song both familiar-sounding and unique. With "Wasted,” the group combines guitar, piano, intricate drumming and John Lennon-esque vocals into a somewhat melancholy, but pleasant mid-tempo pop rock song. The overall effect sounds like a blend of the best aspects of fellow British acts, The Stone Roses, Radiohead and Ride.
