The Teenagers - Starlett Johansson - Featuring what has to be the sleaziest vocalist in a pop group ever, the Parisian trio (not be confused with chart-topping, doo-wop sensations, Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers) combines a modern take on synth-pop with hipster snark and thick French accents in their loving (and lusting) tribute to Scarlett Johansson. Thankfully, the ultimate result is more silly then creepy, and actually makes for a damn good song. While their name has been floating around the blogs for a while now, you'll definitely be hearing a lot more about these guys in the future.

Oh Astro - Hello Fuji Boy - Indie rock mash-ups may be in fashion these days, but Bloomington, Illinois-based Oh Astro offers their own unique twist on recreating songs. Taking pieces of artists as diverse as Hot Chip, Fujiya and Miyagi and Lionel Richie, the husband-wife duo crafts a warm, friendly, but danceable electro-pop song out of recognizable elements of its original source material. Whether you want to ponder the possibilities of experimental music through the reinterpretation of pop songs or just like hearing a killer remix, Oh Astro has a little something for everyone.

White, Blue, Yellow & Clouds - Moonlight - It's been fifty-something years since the heyday of doo-wop; but don't tell that to this Brooklyn ensemble. Produced by Saturday Looks Good To Me's Fred Thomas (who also plays guitar and baritone on the record), "Moonlight" features four-part vocal harmonies, reverb-heavy guitars, horns and a rhythm section perfectly replicating the feel of the classics. So if your favorite kind of music involves a group of young men in suits singing about teenage romance, chances are very good you will enjoy White, Blue, Yellow, & Clouds.
