Champions of the unknown music sales territory, Radiohead, have reportedly sold over 1. 2 million copies of their latest album In Rainbows. According to anonymous sources, just 38% of fans paid an average $6, whereas 62% of people who downloaded the album paid not one red cent. The generous 38% will also be given the opportunity to purchase a career spanning box set due out soon, courtesy of Parlophone.

My favorite quirky jerks and yours, The Futureheads, have announced the completion of their third album. Guitarist Ross Millard had this to say about the new album and having no major label backing it, "Now that we're out of all major label clutches, we can call the shots on what we do, and when and where we do it, a lot more - so keep your ears to the ground."

Shoe-gazing godfathers, The Verve, took to the stage this past Friday at Glasgow Academy. The 90-minute set included classics, "Bittersweet Symphony," "Lucky Man" and "This Is Music." The band also premiered one new song titled "Sit and Wonder," that sounded a little like the Stone Roses second album material. Ashcroft and Company were all reportedly in good spirits throughout the show.

"Morrissey, Morrissey, Morrissey," has announced his intentions to sign with a new label at any minute now. His previous label contract now expired, Morrissey's new album is all but finished and looking for a new home. Jerry Finn(You Are The Quarry) came back to helm the project. Not meeting anyone at the cemetery gates anytime soon, more touring is said to continue for the old man in March of 2008.
