We’ve Got You Covered: Jukebox The Ghost and Donna Lewis

Jukebox The Ghost cover Donna Lewis’ “I’ll Love You Always Forever.”

I was in grade school when Donna Lewis’ “I’ll Love You Always Forever” came out. It wasn’t my jam, but it was certainly the jam of almost every girl in my class. The song was feel good, and Lewis’ voice is innocent. The boys of Jukebox The Ghost agree, apparently, because they like “I’ll Love You Always Forever” enough to cover the song. Jukebox The Ghost covered it earlier this week in New York City. The reasoning is simple.

"We heard it on the radio a couple of years ago on tour, and we were all thinking 'Man, this song is awesome' but we had absolutely no idea whose song it was -- At the time we joked about covering it. Flash forward a couple of years and we were onstage at Bowery Ballroom covering it."

Jukebox The Ghost will be releasing their new album, Everything Under The Sun, on September 7.

What’s a good price to pay when scoping records? Well, it depends on the condition of the vinyl, the cover and how rare the record is. The record is in rough condition, but it plays, and it’s about the only chance I’ll most likely get to grab a copy (a mint copy could fetch $100 at least)...
