Hey Champ

Hey Champ discusses their first album finally being released, remixes and blending the line between indie rock and hip-hop.

The road to release Hey Champ’s first full length has been a long one, but the Rockford, Illinois trio is finally set to release the album in July. Album release shenanigans aside, Hey Champ is already wildly successful; recording the infectious hit that has (probably) been played in every single club everywhere, “Cold Dust Girl,” and remixing artists such as Passion Pit, The Sounds and The Cool Kids. Hey Champ has already broken out – and their first full length is poised to carry them further...

Against Me!

Against Me!'s Tom Gabel discusses White Crosses, I Was A Teenage Anarchist and Harvest For Hope Foundation.

It’s hard to deny the sheer tenacity of Gainesville, Florida’s Against Me!. Partly started from a police “beatdown,” Against Me! has grown into one of the most recognizable and overall talented punk bands over the past few years. Their previous release, New Wave, was a commercial success - and White Crosses seems to surely follow suit. Aloha

Aloha's Tony Cavallario discusses 'Home Acres,' Cleveland and being in a long distance band.

Tony Cavallario and the rest of Aloha have always been a nomadic band. Very rarely rooted in the same place at the same time, the band relied on a blog to write newest album Home Acres. Woodhands

Woodhand's Dan Werb talks Remorsecapade, live shows, robot attacks and illegal activities.

Not often do you see a band still using a keytar, but Canada’s Woodhands embraces our forgotten friend with so much energy that you’d think they invented the thing. Woodhands isn’t just a keytar, though – as the two-piece brings electro-pop at a frantic and catchy pace. Woodhands new album, Remorsecapade, will be out February 23 with a digital release, and March 23 for a hard copy. We sat down with keytarist/keyboardist and frontman Dan Werb to talk about the new album...

The Album Leaf

The Album Leaf's Jimmy LaValle talks 'A Chorus Of Storytellers,' picking a band and his favorite soundtracks.

If you’ll allow me to be so bold, I’m going to say that The Album Leaf made the prettiest music of the decade. The San Diego based former solo project of Jimmy LaValle has now turned into a full-fledged band that released A Chorus Of Storytellers in early February. Now six albums deep, The Album Leaf continue to work with some of the most powerful names in indie rock.  Jimmy LaValle took some time out to chat with us about all the things that make The Album Leaf work...
